Elle Sherlock is a Dark-Pop artist with industrial, trip-hop and jazz influences, who uses her fresh writing and striking vocal range to push the boundaries of genre. With roots in the Canadian North, Elle brings a perspective that is truly unique; the ability to reveal the beauty in all things dark and twisted, make the quaint grand, and the unsaid said.
After beginning piano lessons as a teen, Elle quickly became an award winning youth classical pianist. Naturally creative, she immediately began reinventing her classical piano pieces and was lucky enough to have a teacher who encouraged this. Elle later taught herself to play guitar and sing and has gone on to be a multi-scholarship winner as a classical pianist while pursuing a career as a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.
Currently, Elle is thrilled to be preparing her first solo album, which she is recording at a unique studio in rural Quebec, known for its cinematic production style. This album continues her push into genre-bending and boundary-defying songwriting and vocal performances; with release slated for late 2025.
Elle’s latest single, Hope Hid Away, released in May, is a passionate account of one of the most difficult moments in life and was commissioned by the Ottawa Cancer Foundation as the theme song to their 30th anniversary campaign. Elle’s song will serve as the soundtrack to promotional media throughout the campaign, and Elle will be seen performing at campaign events, including the 2025 Aurora Gala, where she will be opening for the Strumbellas.
